Fargo Center for Dermatology has recently joined forces with Tareen Dermatology, a leading dermatology practice based in Minnesota.
We are seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our growing team.
The Medical Assistant works closely with our providers to deliver exceptional patient care. This role includes preparing patients for visits, documenting medical encounters, assisting with procedures, providing patient education, and helping ensure a seamless experience throughout each patient’s visit.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment, and is passionate about providing outstanding care and creating a positive experience for every patient.
Qualifications
Required- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous healthcare, patient care, or medical office experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or equivalent)
- Previous Medical Assistant experience
- Dermatology experience
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
What You Will Do
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by obtaining medical histories and vital signs
- Accurately document provider encounters and procedures within the EMR
- Assist providers during medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology procedures
- Generate and submit orders as directed by providers
- Communicate pathology results and follow-up instructions to patients
- Answer and return patient phone calls in a timely manner
- Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care
- Handle and label specimens according to established protocols
- Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic safety standards
- Travel periodically for training and support purposes as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
