Summary:
We are seeking an ambitious and compassionate Certified Recovery Support Specialist to join our dedicated mental health team. The ideal candidate will have personal recovery experience and a strong desire to support others along their journey to wellness. Services will be provided in an array of settings including the individual’s home, community-settings, community agencies, healthcare providers, and at Envision Unlimited.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work with individuals with a diagnosis of mental health and/or substance use in a kind, caring and supportive approach that instills hope
- Ability to meet people where they are in their recovery, being non-judgmental and possessing the ability to build rapport quickly with individuals seeking help
- Ability to work independently and also in a team-based environment
- Ability to be flexible to help anyone, anywhere, and anytime
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and basic office software.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused mindset.
Essential Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Provide case management and community support services and manage a caseload
Conduct outreach to engage individuals who have been referred to the program
Complete needs assessments to identify additional needs including but not limited to mental health, substance use, health, dental, vision, support systems, legal, education, employment, access to transportation or any other services that assist an individual to improve his/her quality of life
Assist individual served in identifying barriers to achieving sustained recovery and support by empowering them in the recovery management process
Maintain a working knowledge of appropriate services and resources (e.g., housing, transportation, community-based recovery resources) to reduce the likelihood of health setbacks and promote improved health and wellbeing
Practice and promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness and spirituality/connectedness by assisting individuals with regaining control over their own lives through self-directed recovery, including utilizing recovery language in all applicable documentation and teaching recovery and using recovery tools such as WRAP.
Advocate for individuals to have the ability to access and maintain housing, benefits, treatment and seek reasonable accommodation when eligible and appropriate.
Provide other duties as assigned, required or specifically negotiated with the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, plus 21 years of age is required
- Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) preferred.
- Must be willing to obtain CRSS within 1 year of the date of hire.
- Individuals who are willing to self-identify as having lived experience of a mental health or substance use diagnosis are required for this position
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of current insurance.

- Base Salary: $40,000 per year + additional quarterly productivity bonuses
