This role is responsible for defining and guiding the architecture of complex, enterprise-scale technology solutions across cloud and SaaS ecosystems. You will translate business needs into scalable, secure, and well-structured technical designs that align with enterprise architecture standards and long-term strategic goals. Working closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and enterprise architects, you will ensure that solutions are both technically sound and business-aligned. The position requires strong expertise in cloud-based architectures, particularly Azure, along with experience integrating multiple SaaS platforms into cohesive systems. You will play a key role in evaluating new technologies, shaping architectural standards, and guiding implementation across multiple workstreams. This is a highly collaborative and strategic role with significant influence on enterprise technology direction and delivery outcomes.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, end-to-end architectural solutions aligned with enterprise standards and strategic objectives.
- Design and oversee the implementation of complex, large-scale cloud-based and SaaS-integrated systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define problem scope, engagement objectives, and solution approach across multiple initiatives.
- Develop architectural roadmaps and coordinate work across multiple technical teams and project workstreams.
- Evaluate technologies, vendors, and tools through proofs of concept, MVPs, and structured assessments to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Define and enforce architectural principles, design patterns, and best practices across application, infrastructure, security, and data domains.
- Guide development teams to ensure alignment between implementation and architectural design across the full solution lifecycle.
- Work closely with enterprise architects and IT leadership to ensure consistency with enterprise-wide architecture strategy.
- Assess technical and business impacts of architectural decisions and provide strategic guidance on solution direction.
- Continuously research emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance scalability, flexibility, and system performance.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, solution design, and solution architecture roles.
- Strong experience designing and implementing large-scale cloud solutions, preferably in Azure environments.
- Deep understanding of multi-tier architectures including web, application, caching, load balancing, and storage layers.
- Solid knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, and NoSQL database technologies.
- Experience working with SaaS integration, API-first architectures, and middleware tools such as Mulesoft or IBM MQ.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, loosely coupled architectures, and stateless design principles.
- Familiarity with network fundamentals (LAN/WAN), web services, and data formats such as XML and JSON.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices and collaboration with engineering teams.
- Understanding of application security, system security principles, and enterprise-grade architecture standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
