This role is a key leadership position within a fast-growing global finance organization operating in a dynamic, fully remote environment. The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee complex accounting operations across multiple areas including general ledger, fixed assets, leases, accruals, equity, and intercompany eliminations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls across reporting cycles. You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as finance, FP&A, audit, and operations, contributing to monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment. It is ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on problem solving while also driving process improvement and financial integrity at scale.
- Lead and execute end-to-end accounting operations across general ledger activities including fixed assets, leases, accruals, prepaids, equity, intercompany eliminations, and capitalized software.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial records by reviewing reconciliations, journal entries, invoices, and supporting documentation in alignment with accounting standards and SOX requirements.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including variance analysis and preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Collaborate with internal and external audit teams, supporting audit requests and ensuring timely resolution of findings.
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and operational processes while identifying opportunities for efficiency and automation.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including finance, FP&A, and business units to ensure consistent financial reporting and process alignment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, ideally within a public company or shared services environment.
- Strong expertise in US GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting processes.
- Proven experience in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and complex accounting treatments.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage stakeholders, influence decisions, and guide cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite; experience with SmartView or FloQast is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
