About the Role:
As a Hotel Guest Room Attendant at the Gaithersburg Springhill Suites, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every guest experiences a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment during their stay. Your primary focus will be to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and public areas, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and the hotel's reputation. You will be responsible for thorough cleaning, replenishing supplies, and reporting any maintenance issues promptly to ensure seamless operations. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to hospitality excellence. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Familiarity with environmentally friendly cleaning products and practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Customer service experience demonstrating a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of hotel property management systems or related software.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms to meet hotel standards.
- Replenish guest room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and beverages in a timely and organized manner.
- Inspect rooms for maintenance issues and report any damages or safety hazards to the management team.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and stored properly after each shift.
- Respond courteously to guest requests and inquiries, providing assistance or directing them to appropriate hotel staff.
