Job Title: Sewer Camera Foreman
Department: Gas Distribution, Construction and Maintenance
Reports To: Superintendent
Subordinates: Laborer
Use robotic CCTV camera equipment to inspect, locate, and map sanitary and storm sewer systems ahead of natural gas installations.
- Properly lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight.
- Enter data in PC video recording software.
- Regular maintenance of mechanical and electronic equipment.
- Use receiver to accurately locate sewer mains and laterals.
- Legibly draw sewer map of construction area.
- Communicate with city utility departments.
- Transfer data between rig and central servers.
- Drive pickup truck/trailer or full-sized van classified as a CMV.
- Set up and maintain safe job site and safe work practices.
Education and Certifications
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid operators license. Current DOT physical. (Experience in lieu of education may be considered.).
Experience
- Required: Professional or personal use of computers and electronics.
- Preferred: 1+ year in robotic CCTV operation or utility locating.
Functional / Technical Competency Requirements
- Required: Use of Windows-based computers and Microsoft Word and Excel. Legible handwriting. Interact effectively and professionally with the public, customers, co-workers, and supervisors. Drive a commercial motor vehicle (CMV). Travel regionally and respond to emergency situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 90 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, explosives, and vibration. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Employees in this job classification are required to work extended hours on a regular basis, must be flexible with the work schedule, be able to handle stressful conditions due to productivity and time constraints, and be willing to travel regionally.
