We are looking for a skilled Streetlight Electrician to join our team in Gisborne. You'll manage streetlight contracts, handling installations, repairs, and maintenance of overhead and underground components while ensuring all work is safe, timely, and meets regulatory standards. This hands-on role involves interpreting technical drawings, preparing quotes, conducting streetlight patrols, maintaining electrical systems, mentoring apprentices and trainees, collaborating with clients and contractors, responding to after-hours callouts, and building strong long-term relationships with clients.

What You'll Do

• Install, maintain, and repair streetlights (overhead and underground)
• Conduct patrols and troubleshoot faults
• Support contract delivery and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget
• Operate electrical systems, machinery, instrumentation, and control components

What We're Looking For

• Current EWRB Practising Licence and registration
  
• Manual NZ Driver Licence (Class 2 preferred)
• Working at Heights experience preferred
• HIAB crane and bucket truck operating experience preferred
• Experience working in electrical network/distribution enviornment desired
  
• Commercial/industrial installation experience and RAMM knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of industry rules, Health & Safety at Work Act 2015,AS/NZS3000 and Electrical Regulations
  
• Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, safety focus, and a team-oriented attitude
  
• Experience in traffic management is a bonus
