Property Estimate & Repair Verification Advisor

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Property Estimate & Repair Verification Advisor based in Canada.

This remote role is designed for an experienced property claims professional who specializes in estimate review, repair verification, and quality assurance.
You will play a key role in ensuring repair estimates meet industry standards, internal guidelines, and customer expectations.
The position combines technical expertise, vendor collaboration, and analytical review to improve claim outcomes.
You will work closely with claims teams, repair networks, and leadership to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
Your expertise will help maintain consistency, accuracy, and compliance across complex property repair processes.

Accountabilities:

The Property Estimate & Repair Verification Advisor is responsible for reviewing repair estimates, supporting claims quality, and ensuring alignment with best practices. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.

  • Conduct virtual desk reviews, estimate validations, and repair estimate assessments to ensure compliance with estimating standards and documented processes.
  • Perform in-person or remote reinspections of property claims and analyze complex estimates prepared by internal teams and repair network partners.
  • Use estimating platforms and tools such as Xactimate and XactAnalysis to evaluate accuracy, scope, and repair recommendations.
  • Research and respond to customer escalations, concerns, and claim-related issues while supporting claims and vendor management teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with repair network vendors by understanding shared needs and promoting effective collaboration.
  • Audit vendor relationships and monitor repair network performance to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze network trends and provide recommendations for guideline updates, process enhancements, and operational improvements.
  • Participate in calibration sessions with claims teams and vendor management groups to improve consistency and quality.
  • Share review findings, compliance observations, and trend analysis with leadership to support decision-making.
  • Ensure repair networks follow established guidelines, procedures, and applicable industry regulations.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong property claims expertise, technical estimating knowledge, and excellent communication skills. This role requires someone who can independently manage reviews, collaborate across teams, and deliver accurate recommendations in a remote environment.

  • Experience in property insurance claims, repair estimating, or related damage assessment roles.
  • Proficiency with estimating software, including Xactimate and XactAnalysis.
  • Strong understanding of property repair practices, claims processes, and industry standards.
  • Experience reviewing contractor or vendor estimates and identifying discrepancies or improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to analyze complex information, identify trends, and provide practical recommendations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage escalations and resolve issues effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
