The Opportunity

We are looking for a Marketing Lead to own SKYTRAC’s social media, content planning, and digital marketing. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on execution. You will plan and produce the work that builds SKYTRAC’s digital presence and drives measurable engagement while collaborating with the sales team and working within our established brand.

To succeed in this role, you are a proactive, organized, and self-directed professional who can manage competing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail. You communicate confidently, adapt quickly when plans change, and take ownership of your work from initial concept through final delivery. Resourceful and curious, you solve problems independently, know when to involve others, and are comfortable learning within a highly technical product environment.

This position is based on-site in our Kelowna, BC office.

As a Marketing Lead, responsibilities include:

  • Manage SKYTRAC’s presence across LinkedIn, X, and other social media channels, including planning, creating, scheduling, and publishing content, designing graphics, and writing engaging captions.
  • Lead content planning and execution by managing the content calendar, conducting keyword research, developing web and blog content, aligning content with active campaigns, supporting editorial planning, and creating materials that enable sales activities.
  • Support digital marketing initiatives, including paid social media, integrated search campaigns, and ongoing on-page SEO optimization.
  • Coordinate trade show and event marketing activities, including booking booth space, ordering show services, organizing setup logistics, arranging supporting activities and reservations, and developing promotional content and collateral.
  • Produce marketing materials that consistently reflect SKYTRAC’s established brand and voice.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Business Development, and other departments to address cross-functional content needs.
  • Prepare reports on social media, content, SEO, and campaign performance, providing clear, actionable recommendations to improve results.
  • Contribute to customer-facing product marketing activities, including creating and updating specification sheets, developing presentation content, and translating technical product information into clear, accessible materials.

What You Bring

Candidate Must Have’s

  • 3+ years in a marketing, communications, content, or executive/personal assistant role that involved hands-on content creation, scheduling, or project coordination.
  • University degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or a related field, or equivalent industry or administrative experience.
  • Experience working in an in-house marketing, communications, executive or personal assistant, or similar coordination-focused role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple calendars, channels, or schedules, whether a social content calendar or an executive's calendar and correspondence.
  • Working knowledge of, or willingness to build skills in, SEO fundamentals such as keyword research, on-page optimization, and search analytics.
  • Comfort reading data and reports to inform decisions.
  • Strong communication skills including writing and editing skills.
  • Comfort with digital tools and platforms, such as analytics dashboards or reporting systems, or desire to learn.
  • Experience with design or presentation tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

  • Experience marketing technical or B2B products in aerospace, satellite, defence, or a regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and content management platforms.
  • Experience in how to leverage AI systems and processes to streamline workflow.
  • Knowledge of web-based content management tools such as WordPress, Webflow, or similar. Basic HTML & CSS knowledge.
  • Experience with a CRM such as HubSpot, Salesforce or similar.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, project management skills and technical proficiency.
  • Knowledge of Adobe products beyond Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition.

This position is for an existing vacancy within our Sales and Marketing team.

The salary range for this role is $75,000 – 85,000 CAD. The range posted is a guide and may not represent the compensation offered to the successful candidate. Compensation is based on the skills, knowledge, experience, and qualifications brought to the role.
