Position Summary:
This positionis responsible forthesetup and tear-downoftables, chairs, stages, drapes,etc.,as well as setup and tear-downofaudio-visual equipmentincluding microphones, laptops, speakers, mixers, etc., within spacesofthe Student Union Building.This role requires a candidate who can lift, push, pull, and manipulate30lbs, hasstrong communicationskills,and can work early mornings, late nights, and weekends.This position is part of a fun and fast-paced environment. Duties and Responsibilities:
Adherence to Student Union Employee Handbook guidelines.
Set up and tear-down ofaudio-visualequipment.
Set up andtear-downofchairs, tables, stages, podiums, etc.
Works withtheBuilding Manager and follows theirdirectionsregardingpace, prioritization, and aesthetics.
Perform minoraudio-visualrepairs/troubleshooting.
Maintaina neat, orderly, and safe work environment; ensuring all equipment is returned to theappropriate storagearea when not in use.
Ensure that all equipment is always in fully operational condition and report any problems to the supervisor.
Performs miscellaneousjob-relatedduties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Basic computer skills.
Ability to have a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently.
Knowledge of or willingness to learn audio-visual equipment and troubleshooting.
Ability to lift, push, pull,and manipulate heavy objectsof at least 30lbs.
Must be able to work a minimum of 20hrsper week,including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Performs miscellaneousjob-relatedduties as assigned.
