Sibanye-Stillwater is hiring a Foundry Operator – 1st Shift to join our team in Greenville, NC.
In this hands-on production role, you’ll help process precious-metal-bearing materials by operating foundry equipment, preparing materials, and supporting melting and production activities. If you have manufacturing, foundry, forklift, or industrial experience — or you’re ready to learn — we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
• Support the melting and processing of precious-metal-bearing materials into bullion bars or metallic granulation
• Safely operate furnaces and follow established procedures for loading, melting, and pouring materials
• Operate a forklift to move materials to and from production areas
• Enter production information into the company’s material management system
• Complete batch paperwork accurately, including gross, tare and net weights, lot numbers, container counts, and seal numbers
• Clean finished bullion of slag and other unwanted material and prepare it for weighing and storage
• Prepare drill samples and accurately label samples with lot, date, and weight information
• Monitor foundry equipment and immediately report unusual conditions such as water leaks, current fluctuations, or excessive smoke
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Work with the Foundry team to meet daily production goals safely and efficiently
What We’re Looking For
• High School Diploma or GED required
• One year of warehouse, manufacturing, production, foundry, or industrial experience preferred
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Comfortable working around furnaces, industrial equipment, and high-temperature processes
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and accurately complete production documentation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
• Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and be trained on our foundry equipment and processes
• Reliable transportation to our Greenville facility
Schedule & Pay
• 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• $18.00 per hour
• Full-time, onsite position
• Overtime may be available or required based on operational needs

Physical & Work Requirements
This is an active, hands-on foundry position. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., push or pull drums and equipment that may weigh more than 100 lbs., stand for extended periods, and regularly bend, reach, push, and pull.
Employees work in an industrial foundry environment and must wear all required PPE. The position may also involve interaction with hazardous and universal waste, and required safety and RCRA training will be provided.
Candidates must meet applicable ITAR requirements and successfully complete required pre-employment screening.
