Wage Range: $155,501 - $248,768 per year

Job Summary:
EvergreenHealth is seeking an inspiring Nurse Manager for Childrens Services to lead a highly engaged team in delivering exceptional, family-centered pediatric care. Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, this role holds 24-hour accountability and responsibility for assigned areas, leading the overall quality of nursing care while planning, developing, organizing, integrating, and directing programs, staff, and budget in alignment with EvergreenHealths Purpose, Mission, Shared Commitment, and Strategic Priorities. As part of a nationally recognized organizationdesignated as a Magnet-recognized hospital for nursing excellence, the first Baby-Friendly hospital in the United States, and a Healthgrades Top 50 Hospital for Clinical Excellence (placing EvergreenHealth in the top 1% nationwide for six consecutive years)this position plays a critical leadership role in advancing clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and operational performance.

Primary Duties:
  1. Accountable for the environment in which clinical nursing is practiced by creating a learning environment that is open and respectful, and promotes the sharing of expertise to promote the benefits of health outcomes.
  2. Facilitates patient care including organization and management within established policies, procedures, standards of care, budgetary parameters and strategic objectives.
  3. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care.
  4. Assesses and evaluates staffing patterns for proper utilization of personnel in relation to patient care required.
  5. Acts as a role model and provides continued guidance and direction to all employees.
  6. Participates in, and promotes, organizational and unit based quality improvement activities.
  7. In coordination with Executive Director, develops and monitors annual capital and operations budgets. Coordinates development and implementation of appropriate methods to monitor adherence to budgets and resolve variances.
  8. Develops and implements processes to manage human resource, materials, and finances within the established budget.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and/or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington or holding a multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS American Heart Association by start date
  • 3 years of recent clinical experience in pediatric or neonatal critical care nursing with demonstrated clinical knowledge and leadership qualities
DESIRED for the position:
  • Masters degree in nursing or related field
  • Previous experience in a management or leadership role in an inpatient care setting
  • National nursing specialty or leadership certification, or willingness to obtain within 18 months of hire
