Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Product Designer based in the United States.
This is a senior, end-to-end product design role focused on solving complex, real-world problems in collaboration with enterprise clients building connected, data-driven, and AI-enabled products. You will operate across the full design lifecycle—from early discovery and ambiguity through to shipped, production-ready solutions. The role requires a strong balance of craft, systems thinking, and strategic problem-solving, with direct involvement in client-facing workshops and cross-functional decision-making. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure designs translate into high-quality, functional experiences in production. A key part of your impact will come from bringing clarity to complex domains, especially in data-heavy and emerging technology environments. This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone who thrives in fast-moving, client-driven work where outcomes matter as much as execution quality.
In this role, you will lead the full product design process across client engagements, ensuring both strategic alignment and high-quality execution from discovery to delivery:
- Lead end-to-end product design across the full engagement lifecycle, from early discovery through to production launch.
- Facilitate client workshops, discovery sessions, and alignment meetings to define problems, explore solutions, and align stakeholders.
- Own UX and UI design execution, including interaction design, prototyping, and high-fidelity interface design.
- Conduct user research and synthesize insights to inform product direction and design decisions.
- Develop and maintain scalable design systems to ensure consistency across products and platforms.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure accurate implementation and smooth design-to-development handoff.
- Design and deliver data visualization solutions that simplify complex information into clear, actionable experiences.
- Ensure design quality through active involvement in QA and post-launch validation.
- Contribute to product strategy by shaping solutions in ambiguous and evolving problem spaces.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align design decisions with business goals and technical constraints.
- Explore and integrate AI-assisted design workflows where appropriate to improve speed, iteration, and design exploration.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned product designer with strong client-facing experience, systems thinking capabilities, and a track record of shipping impactful digital products:
- 7+ years of experience in product design with a proven record of shipping real, production-grade products.
- Experience across both zero-to-one product development and iterative product improvement cycles.
- Strong UX and UI design skills, including interaction design and prototyping.
- Experience conducting user research and translating insights into product decisions.
- Strong design systems expertise with the ability to scale and maintain consistency across products.
- Experience designing data-heavy or complex analytical products that require simplification of information.
- Comfortable working directly with clients, leading conversations, and articulating design rationale clearly.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High level of autonomy, ownership, and ability to manage work in ambiguous environments.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools or workflows and openness to integrating them into daily practice.
- Experience in fast-paced, consulting-style or client-facing environments is highly valued.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Competitive base salary: $115,000–$160,000 annually (based on experience)
- Variable compensation up to 15%
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) retirement plan with company match
- Remote-friendly, distributed work environment
- $200/month cell and internet stipend
- $600/year home office equipment allowance
- Paid parental leave (above industry standard)
- Continuing education stipend of $2,500/year after one year
- Provided MacBook Pro and necessary equipment
- High-impact client work with leading consumer and enterprise brands
- Strong culture of collaboration, craftsmanship, and problem-solving excellence
