Senior Product Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Designer based in the United States.

This role sits at the highest level of product design ownership, combining hands-on execution with team leadership in a complex fintech and HRMS environment. You will be responsible for shaping end-to-end user experiences across global payroll, compliance, and workforce management products used by distributed organizations. The work requires bringing clarity and consistency to highly data-dense, operational workflows while ensuring a high bar for usability, accessibility, and visual quality. You will lead design direction through research, systems thinking, and close collaboration with product and engineering teams. As a player-coach, you will also mentor designers while actively contributing to critical design work. This is a role for someone who thrives in building structure in complex systems and influencing product direction through strong design leadership. You will define how global users experience a platform that directly impacts how companies pay and manage their workforce.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead end-to-end product design across complex fintech and HRMS modules, ensuring cohesive and high-quality user experiences.
  • Manage, mentor, and support a small design team while remaining actively involved in hands-on product design work.
  • Own and evolve the design system in Figma, ensuring scalability, consistency, and strong adoption across products.
  • Conduct and lead user research activities including interviews, usability testing, journey mapping, and synthesis of insights.
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to define, prioritize, and deliver features aligned with user needs and business goals.
  • Establish and enforce design standards, interaction patterns, and accessibility guidelines across the platform.
  • Present design decisions and rationale to senior stakeholders, including executive leadership, ensuring alignment and clarity.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Product Designer in complex SaaS, fintech, or enterprise environments.
  • Experience designing data-rich, workflow-heavy interfaces with strong attention to usability and clarity.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring designers while staying hands-on in execution.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including design systems, components, variables, and prototyping.
  • Strong user research and synthesis skills with the ability to translate insights into product direction.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment with strong ownership and self-direction.
Benefits:
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
  • Generous paid time off, including holidays, sick leave, and parental leave.
  • Life insurance, disability coverage, and additional supplemental protection options.
  • Flexible spending and health savings accounts (FSA & HSA).
  • Employee assistance program and wellness-focused support resources.
  • Additional optional benefits including identity theft protection, legal services, accident, and pet insurance.
