This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Workday HR - PATT Configuration Manager based in India.
This role focuses on leading the configuration and optimization of Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking (PATT) solutions within a complex global HR ecosystem.
You will play a key role in designing and delivering end-to-end Workday solutions that support scalable, compliant, and efficient HR operations.
The position involves close collaboration with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to translate business needs into robust system configurations.
You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality deployments, testing, and continuous improvement across Workday releases.
A strong focus is placed on system integrity, compliance, and alignment with global HR processes.
This is a hands-on, expert-level role requiring both technical configuration skills and strategic HR systems thinking.

- Configure and maintain Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking modules to support complex and multi-country HR requirements.
- Lead end-to-end solution delivery, including design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-release stabilization.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and compliant Workday solutions.
- Conduct impact analysis for Workday biannual releases (R1 & R2), evaluating new features and system enhancements.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, ensuring system accuracy, quality assurance, and issue resolution.
- Provide expert guidance on Workday best practices, process optimization, and system configuration standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure seamless integration, data consistency, and security compliance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and system changes for audit and compliance purposes.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as bi-weekly sprints and contribute to continuous delivery improvements.
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience, particularly in Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking modules.
- Proven experience in Workday solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment in global environments.
- Strong understanding of Workday business processes, security frameworks, and HR system architecture.
- Workday certifications in Payroll, Absence, or Time Tracking are required or strongly preferred.
- Experience working in multi-country and multi-currency Workday environments.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance, audit requirements, and HR system governance standards.
- Experience with Workday tools such as Studio, EIB, Report Writer, and Business Processes is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and structured thinking.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as an individual contributor while influencing cross-functional teams globally.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA (technology-focused) is a plus.
