Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Deal Strategy and Operations Manager based in United States.
The Senior Deal Strategy and Operations Manager will lead the commercial operations behind complex enterprise transactions, ensuring deals are structured effectively and move efficiently through the sales cycle. This role sits at the intersection of Sales, Finance, Legal, and Customer Success, balancing commercial growth with revenue integrity and risk management. You will oversee deal desk activities, pricing strategy, contract standards, and quote-to-cash processes across strategic opportunities. The position also plays a key role in developing business-value cases, supporting competitive RFP responses, and strengthening renewal economics. You will bring structure and discipline to complex transactions while enabling sellers to move quickly within established commercial guardrails. Success requires strong financial judgment, analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions. This is an autonomous, highly cross-functional opportunity in a fast-moving enterprise B2B technology environment.
- Structure, review, and approve complex enterprise deals, including non-standard terms, discounting, and approval workflows, while keeping sales cycles moving within established commercial guardrails.
- Own and coordinate RFP, RFI, and RFQ responses for enterprise and strategic opportunities, partnering with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Legal to deliver accurate, competitive, and compliant proposals on time.
- Develop and manage module, device-count, and AI-feature pricing models while leading the annual list-price review and ensuring packaging remains aligned with product strategy and market positioning.
- Manage CPQ configuration, order management, billing operations, and revenue recognition processes to improve quote accuracy, compliance, and ease of use for sales teams.
- Build value hypotheses, ROI models, and value-realization frameworks that strengthen business cases for strategic, high-ACV opportunities.
- Partner with Renewals and Customer Success teams to drive disciplined renewal uplifts, multi-year contract structures, and co-term execution.
- Monitor commercial performance for revenue leakage, enforce pricing compliance, and conduct periodic commercial audits to identify and resolve gaps arising from non-standard terms.
- Serve as a trusted cross-functional partner to Sales, Finance, Legal, and Customer Success, helping balance deal velocity with commercial and legal risk.
- Bring demonstrated experience in deal desk, sales or revenue operations, pricing strategy, finance, or a related commercial function, ideally within enterprise B2B SaaS or technology.
- Have working knowledge of quote-to-cash processes and CPQ platforms such as Salesforce CPQ, with experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce preferred.
- Demonstrate strong financial and analytical skills, including experience developing pricing models, ROI or business-value cases, and discount analyses.
- Understand commercial contract structures and terms and be comfortable partnering closely with Legal and Finance stakeholders.
- Bring experience contributing to or leading RFP, RFI, and RFQ response processes for enterprise technology deals, including coordinating cross-functional input under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the judgment to balance sales urgency against revenue, pricing, and legal considerations.
- Be highly process-oriented, detail-driven, and comfortable working independently with significant autonomy in a fast-moving environment.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent practical experience.
- Be comfortable performing computer-based work involving repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements and remaining seated or stationary for extended periods.
- The estimated base salary for this role is $120,000–$150,000, plus a bonus opportunity.
- Actual compensation may vary based on market conditions and objectively assessed individual qualifications.
- The position includes a comprehensive benefits package in addition to cash compensation.
- Benefits include a 401(k) plan and medical and dental coverage.
- The role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise commercial strategy and work across Sales, Finance, Legal, and Customer Success.
- The position provides a high degree of autonomy and exposure to complex, strategic enterprise transactions.
