Schedule & Availability

This position supports event and venue operations and may require working days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak event periods. Flexibility is required to support operational needs and client expectations.

The Spirit of the Position

As the Events Manager, you are responsible for overseeing all day-to-day event operations related to guest services, interior services, and parking operations. This includes leadership of supervisors and event personnel.

You will ensure all operational areas are staffed appropriately, performing effectively, and delivering exceptional service while maintaining safety, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

This role serves as a key operational leader responsible for bridging frontline execution with strategic objectives while driving employee engagement, operational excellence, and memorable guest experiences.

What You'll Do

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily event operations for guest services interior services functions, and parking.
  • Manage event execution from preparation through post-event breakdown.
  • Ensure operational plans are implemented effectively and consistently.
  • Monitor event performance and proactively address operational challenges.
  • Coordinate resources, staffing, equipment, and deployment plans.
  • Ensure all operational areas are prepared and event ready.
  • Support VIP, premium parking, premium entry, and special event services.

Guest Experience & Interior Services Management

  • Oversee ticket scanning, ushering, guest assistance, wayfinding, and customer service operations.
  • Ensure guests receive a welcoming, safe, and efficient experience.
  • Resolve escalated guest concerns and service recovery situations.
  • Monitor guest flow and venue access procedures.
  • Partner with venue leadership to continuously improve guest satisfaction.
  • Promote a culture of hospitality and service excellence throughout the operation.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and frontline team members.
  • Conduct operational meetings, event briefings, and coaching sessions.
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, and professional development.
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and performance management initiatives.
  • Support employee engagement and recognition programs.
  • Identify future leaders and support succession planning efforts.

Financial & Administrative Oversight

  • Assist with labor planning, scheduling, and workforce management.
  • Monitor labor costs and support budget objectives.
  • Review operational reports, staffing metrics, and performance indicators.
  • Ensure payroll submissions, attendance records, and operational documentation are accurate.
  • Support revenue accountability and cash-handling compliance where applicable.
  • Assist with forecasting and operational planning activities.

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Promote a culture of safety across all departments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, venue procedures, and client requirements.
  • Monitor incident reporting and risk management activities.
  • Support emergency response plans and event safety initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulations and operational standards.
  • Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions when needed.

Parking Operations Management

  • Oversee parking facilities, traffic flow, ingress and egress operations, and transportation coordination as applicable.
  • Ensure parking areas are operating safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor labor deployment and operational coverage.
  • Support traffic management plans and parking logistics.
  • Maintain strong communication with venue partners and operational stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve guest arrival and departure experiences.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three years of management or senior supervisory experience.
  • Experience leading teams in event operations, hospitality, entertainment, parking operations, guest services, venue management, or related industries.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with staffing, scheduling, and workforce management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management software.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred

  • Experience managing parking operations and guest services within stadiums, arenas, amphitheaters, convention centers, or entertainment venues.
  • Experience overseeing ticket scanners, ushers, customer service representatives, and parking personnel.
  • Financial management and budgeting experience.
  • Knowledge of event logistics, traffic management, and crowd flow operations.
  • Bilingual communication skills.
  • Experience working with large-scale public events.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to:

  • Work both indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
  • Travel throughout venues, parking facilities, guest service areas, and operational locations.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods during events.
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
  • Attend events during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Operate computers, mobile devices, and office equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, guests, clients, and venue leadership.
