Job Description
Provide weekly administrative, reflective and clinical supervision to Family Support & Resource Specialists (FRS/FSSs) as per HFNY model. Supervisor will ensure that program maintains HFA model fidelity. The Supervisor will conduct community outreach as needed as well. The Supervisor will also ensure that staff adhere to Healthy Start standards and benchmarks and supervises the Maternal Child Health Specialist
Key Responsibilities- Provides weekly clinical, reflective and administrative supervision to Family Support & Resource Specialists (FSRSs) and MCH Specialists; Assesses staff performance and supports staff development
- Supports the proper facilitation of the home visiting curriculum, and administration of clinical tools and the Family Resilience & Opportunities for Growth (FROG) scale
- Ensures that staff are up to date with Healthy Start benchmarks and data entry in Go Beyond
- Complete staff orientation training and register staff for upcoming Core and Wrap Around training; review and sign all staff training logs and ensure that staff training is completed in a timely manner as per HFA and program standards
- Completes a range of quality assurance activities such as case record reviews, participant
- satisfaction phone surveys and home visit/assessment observations with home visitors
- Monitors Healthy Families data management system (MIS) and ensure staff data is entered in a timely manner
- Maintains up to date supervision binders, case transfer summaries, team meeting logs and other binders as required as per program guidelines
- Aids Program Manager in development and/or updating of training curricula, resource directory, forms, and other program materials as necessary
- Assist Program Manager in the review of program policies and updates as needed
- Assists in interviewing and hiring staff
- Responsible for organizing and executing tasks at client/program activities and events, which may be held in evenings or on weekends and may require some moderate lifting of items, creation of flyers, decorating, purchasing items and other tasks related to the event.
- Participates in street and community outreach, community presentations and other efforts to educate the community about the program
- Provides coverage for staff as needed by making home visits or conducting assessments when the program is short staffed, or staff is on leave
- Works on special projects surrounding the program as assigned.
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

- Bachelor’s (3 years of relevant experience) and/or Master’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field
- Less than bachelor’s degree but with commensurate Healthy Families America (HFA) experience
- Familiarity with Jamaica, Queens area and population, culturally sensitive, Bilingual (Creole, Bengali or Spanish) a plus
- Knowledge of infant and child development and parent-child attachment
- Solid understanding of, or experience in, supervising diverse staff and families (communities) with humility, as well as providing support to staff in stressful work environments
- Experience with family services that embraces the concepts of family-centered and strength-based service provision
- Knowledge of parent-infant health and dynamics of child abuse and neglect
- Experience in home visiting with strong background in early childhood prevention services
- Willingness to engage in building reflecting practice (e.g., capacity for introspection, communicating awareness of self in relation to others, recognizing values in supervision, etc.)
- Experience with reflective practice preferred
- Skilled at supervising staff, case management and teaching (some leadership ability/experience acceptable if no formal supervisory experience)

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday (some weekends as needed) at Rising Ground’s Jamaica Hub at 91-14 Merrick Blvd, Jamaica NY 11432. Work hour options are flexible 8 hour shifts from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm.

- Ability to work in-person in New York City (NY) for at least 2 days or more per week.
