Position Overview:
The Foam Technician I supports foam line production by assisting with setup, material handling, and maintaining safety and cleanliness. This entry-level position focuses on learning foam manufacturing processes under direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with setup of side and bottom plastics for foam line pours.
- Fill chemical day tanks, operate drum tilter, and monitor material levels.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and assist with chemical spill management.
- Support production and material handling tasks, including forklift operation after training.
- Adhere to all PPE, safety, and environmental standards.
- Assist senior technicians during production pours and line setup.
- Operate foam line saw.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Accuracy and efficiency during setup and support tasks.
- Compliance with safety and quality procedures.
- Timeliness in completing assigned tasks.
- Positive teamwork and communication with peers.

Qualifications:
- 0–1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (foam or chemical preferred).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb stairs, and work in heat and noise.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Ability to climb stairs or ladders and work on uneven surfaces.
- Regular exposure to machinery and chemical handling.
Work Environment:
- Physically demanding role in a manufacturing environment.
- Regular exposure to chemicals, fumes, heat, and noise.
- Requires wearing PPE including gloves, goggles, and respirators as needed.
- Work involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
Schedule:
- Full-time position with occasional overtime or weekend work as needed based on production demands.
