Truck Driver in Central, Minnesota at Central United Cooperative

POSITION PURPOSE:

Ensure the safe and efficient transportation of agriculture commodities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily vehicle inspections and document accordingly
• Report all maintenance issues and schedule for repair
• Complete and submit required logs and transportation paperwork in a timely manner
• Pick up and deliver product in a safe and efficient manner
• Abide by all State and Federal traffic regulations
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck and trailer, inside and out, including sweeping of the trailer after loads
• Communicate with vendors and supervisors if delays are probable

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma
• Must have or be able to obtain Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, and be an insurable driver
• Must be able to pass DOT required physical and related drug test
• Maintain Class A CDL and Medical Card
• Availability to work extended hours during peak seasons
• Must be able to follow directions and effectively communicate with others
• Understanding of mechanical machines and tools desired
• Agriculture background preferred but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift 75lbs., climb ladders and/or rail cars, stairs, and bins
• May also be required to work in confined spaces
• Must be able to work in grain dust and during inclement weather
• Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position
