Principal Product Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Product Manager based in United States.

This role sits at the forefront of evolving global messaging platforms, shaping the APIs and developer experience that power billions of real-time customer interactions worldwide. You will lead strategy and execution for SMS and RCS products, defining how enterprises and developers build scalable, reliable, and intuitive communication experiences. The role blends product vision, deep technical fluency, and data-driven decision-making to identify growth opportunities in a rapidly changing messaging ecosystem. You will work closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to launch new capabilities and modernize core platform APIs at global scale. With a strong focus on experimentation and iteration, you will help unlock next-generation conversational experiences across channels. This is a high-impact role where product leadership directly influences the future of digital communication.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for SMS and RCS APIs, ensuring alignment with developer needs and global enterprise requirements.
  • Lead the evolution of messaging platform capabilities, including modernization of legacy APIs and development of new cross-channel communication solutions.
  • Design and refine API experiences focused on reliability, scalability, usability, and developer-first principles.
  • Conduct market research and analyze product usage data to identify opportunities for innovation, growth, and improved engagement.
  • Drive experimentation through beta programs, A/B testing, and iterative product releases to improve product–market fit.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, design, GTM, and partner teams to deliver high-impact product launches.
  • Define and track key product metrics to monitor performance, reliability, and adoption across global customers.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of product management experience (7+ preferred), ideally in platform, API, or developer-focused products.
  • Strong experience working backward from customer needs to define clear product direction and impactful solutions.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise and B2B environments, including complex sales cycles and stakeholder dynamics.
  • Technical fluency in APIs, distributed systems, or platform products with a focus on scalability and reliability.
  • Proven ability to translate data and insights into product decisions and long-term strategy.
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills, with experience working in remote, cross-functional, global teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in ambiguous environments and drive execution independently.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package including base salary, performance bonus, and potential equity participation.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous paid time off, parental leave, and wellness programs.
  • Retirement savings plan such as 401(k) with applicable employer contributions.
  • Flexible remote-first work environment with occasional travel for collaboration and team engagement.
  • Professional development support and opportunities to work on high-scale global platform products.
  • Inclusive, innovation-driven culture focused on experimentation and continuous improvement.
