Position Summary
The Rooms Operations Manager supports the Director of Housekeeping in overseeing the daily operations of the Rooms Division, with a primary focus on housekeeping operations and guest room readiness. This position serves as a key liaison between Housekeeping, Front Desk, Engineering, and Guest Services to ensure effective communication, efficient room turnaround, and an exceptional guest experience. The Rooms Operations Manager assists with team leadership, quality assurance, training, and operational execution to maintain Sheraton brand standards.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Director of Housekeeping with the daily management of housekeeping operations.
• Serve as a communication bridge between Housekeeping, Front Desk, Guest Services, and Engineering.
• Monitor room status, prioritize room readiness, and ensure timely turnaround of guest rooms.
• Conduct inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, training, coaching, and performance management of housekeeping associates and supervisors.
• Respond to guest concerns and service recovery situations related to cleanliness, room readiness, and guest accommodations.
• Support inventory control and ordering of housekeeping supplies and operating equipment.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety standards, and brand requirements.
• Analyze operational needs and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Act on behalf of the Director of Housekeeping in their absence.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of hotel operations experience, including housekeeping leadership experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience required.
• Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, room inspections, and hotel service standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working collaboratively with Front Office and other hotel departments.
• Proficiency in hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
