About the Position
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant will support core accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring transactions for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and inventory are recorded properly
- Recording timely and accurate month-end journal entries and performing account reconciliations
- Ensuring revenue and expense recognition is classified correctly and consistently
- Preparing monthly internal financial reporting
- Performing fiscal year-end close activities and assisting with activities and requirements of external auditors
- Processing monthly/quarterly payments and filing returns for Federal Excise Taxes and various state tax obligations
- Working with external tax preparer on the completion of annual tax returns
- Continually seeking and implementing opportunities to streamline and improve accounting operations through technology and process efficiencies
- Other duties as assigned to meet organizational requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum of two years work experience in general ledger accounting
- CPA preferred
- Sound knowledge of accounting standards and procedures, including GAAP
- Experience with accounting software, preferably Oracle
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft 365
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Additional Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Must meet airport badging requirements, including TSA security background check.
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with company insurance criteria required.
Physical Requirements
- This role primarily operates in a standard office environment and involves prolonged periods of sitting, working at a computer, and using standard office equipment. Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting may be required.
