Kassi, the exciting new rooftop restaurant at Hotel Erwin, is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team in Venice Beach. If you thrive in a high-energy, hospitality-driven environment and love creating exceptional dining experiences inspired by the Mediterranean, we’d love to connect with you.

As a Sous Chef at Kassi, you’ll be instrumental in leading our back-of-house operations. You’ll ensure smooth daily service, uphold the highest standards of quality and safety, and help craft a vibrant menu that transports guests to a sun-drenched Mediterranean escape.

• Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure seamless, efficient service
• Uphold exceptional standards of food preparation, safety, and sanitation
• Oversee daily kitchen operations including scheduling, inventory, and purchasing
• Collaborate on menu development and contribute new, creative dishes
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Partner with the front-of-house team to deliver an outstanding guest experience
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, coordinating repairs as needed

• 2-3 years of culinary leadership experience in a high-volume kitchen
• Strong skills in menu planning, kitchen operations, and team leadership
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Food Handling Certificate and completion of in-house Sous Chef training (or equivalent)
• Proficiency with kitchen technology, POS systems, and inventory management
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
