Job Summary:

Peak Performance Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and motivated part-time Physical Therapy Technician to support our team of licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will assist with various non-clinical tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the therapy sessions and contributing to a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate is able to work 20 hours per week completing various shifts of either opening or closing, Monday through Friday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assistance: Assist patients in performing prescribed therapeutic exercises under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Guide and support patients during exercises and activities to ensure proper form and technique.

2. Equipment Setup and Maintenance: Prepare treatment areas by setting up necessary equipment and ensuring it is in good working condition. Clean and sanitize equipment and treatment areas after each use.

3. Administrative Support: Perform non-clinical tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling routine administrative duties on occasion. Greet patients, provide information, and assist with completing necessary forms.

4. Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Relay information about patient progress and concerns to the supervising therapist.

5. Observation and Reporting: Observe and report any changes in patient condition or response to exercises to the supervising therapist. Document patient interactions and interventions accurately.

6. Compliance: Adhere to healthcare regulations and organizational policies, including patient confidentiality and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Kinesiology Background/Sports Medicine/Exercise Science/Personal Training/Athletic Training background is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a physical therapy setting.
  • CPR knowledge but certificate not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients as needed.
  • Ability to sit, stand in place, walk, twist (knees/waist/neck), climb, push/pull and lift objects of various weights of up to 50 pounds.
  • Stamina to meet the physical demands of a busy clinical environment.

Work Environment:

The pay range for this role is:
13.73 - 15.65 USD per hour(Peak Performance Physical Therapy - Mason)
