Location: Canton-Potsdam Hospital - 50 Leroy Street, Potsdam, NY 13676

Schedule: Per Diem (8 am - 4 pm as needed Mon-Fri)
Summary:
Assists in the daily routines and work processes of the Cardiology Department. Responsible for assisting the RN and physician in the setup and completion of all cardiology testing. Cross-training to cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and cardiac imaging areas as needed. Dual specialty refers to the addition of one or more of the following modalities: Echocardiography, EECP therapy, and EEG services. Comply with the professional standards of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
Core Job Responsibilities:
1. Perform direct patient care, assisting RN or physician in set up and completion of comprehensive cardiology testing (Stress) and care as needed, and performing EKGs, Holter, Event, and ABP monitoring setup and patient education as requested. Perform criteria modality for dual specialty in either Echocardiography, EECP therapy, EEG services. May require travel to Canton and/or Gouverneur Hospital (coverage purposes) to affect cardiac care on site.
2. Maintain departmental records, assist with order entry, scanning and filing, and departmental supplies.
Education Requirements:
High School graduate. Basic computer skills.
Preferred Requirements:
EKG certification from the National Health Career Association (CET)
Medical terminology
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
PAY RANGE: $26.00 - $37.23
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
