About the role
The Global Post Production Manager is responsible for leading post-production operations across Global
Production Studios, overseeing editorial workflows, team performance, resource planning, quality standards,
and delivery excellence.
This role ensures projects move efficiently through the post-production pipeline, balancing creative quality
with operational efficiency. Working closely with producers, creatives, client-facing teams, and leadership, the
Global Post Production Manager is responsible for building scalable systems, developing talent, and creating a
high-performing post-production department capable of supporting global campaigns and always-on content
at scale.
What you'll do
- Post Production Operations
- Own and continuously improve post-production workflows across video editing, motion graphics, and content delivery
- Establish and maintain scalable systems, SOPs, quality control processes, and operational standards
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and workflow gaps, implementing solutions that improve speed, quality, and team performance
- Lead ongoing process improvement initiatives, including automation, AI tools, workflow optimisation, and production technology
- Develop reporting and tracking systems to monitor delivery performance, capacity, utilisation, and turnaround times
- Resource Planning & Delivery Management
- Oversee editorial resourcing and workload allocation across the post-production team
- Ensure projects are appropriately staffed based on skillset, availability, and priority
- Monitor delivery timelines and proactively manage risks to project schedules
- Partner with Producers, Client Services, and Creative teams to forecast upcoming workload and capacity requirements
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on brief, and to a consistently high standard
- Editorial Leadership & Quality Standards
- Establish and maintain editorial quality standards across all content types, including social content, branded content, campaign assets, and high-production-value projects
- Support editors with creative problem-solving, feedback interpretation, and project escalation
- Partner with the Global Design Lead to ensure consistency across visual and editorial output
- Conduct regular quality reviews and identify opportunities to elevate creative execution
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the post-production team, including Lead Video Editors, Senior Video Editors, Video Editors, Motion Designers, and freelance talent
- Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development planning
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and creative excellence
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning across the department
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary operational lead for post-production across GPS
- Build strong working relationships with producers, client-facing teams, creative leads, and business stakeholders
- Provide visibility on team capacity, project status, risks, and operational performance
- Drive alignment across departments to ensure smooth project delivery from production through to final output
Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in post-production, editing, creative operations, or production leadership roles
- Proven experience managing post-production teams in agency, publisher, media, production, or content environments
- Strong understanding of video editing workflows, content production pipelines, review processes, and delivery requirements
- Experience building workflows, operational systems, and quality control processes
- Demonstrated experience leading teams, developing talent, and improving department performance
- Strong project management, resource planning, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to balance creative quality with operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience managing global or multi-market creative teams
- Familiarity with social-first content, creator content, and branded entertainment
- Experience with workflow and project management tools such as Notion, Frame.io, Slack, Google Workspace, and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Understanding of AI-powered editing, automation, and emerging post-production technologies
- Experience supporting both social first and large-scale premium campaign productions
