Company Description:

Plastic Molding Technology (PMT) manufactures high precision plastic parts for automotive, telecommunications, medical device, renewable energy, and industrial customers. The primary manufacturing processes are injection molding and thermoforming. PMT has ~100 injection molding presses at its two primary manufacturing locations in El Paso, TX and Centennial, CO (a suburb of Denver).

What you’ll do:

• Plan, direct, and control the company’s accounting and financial activities, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), statutory guidelines, and internal financial policies and procedures
• Prepare timely and accurate reporting of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
• Supervise any accounting department employees including providing guidance on-the-job-training for development and potential advancement, and evaluation of work performance based on established performance standards
• Drive initiatives for automation, efficiency, and quality-improvement
• Directly manage communication with auditors and provide sufficient audit evidence to support financial reporting requests
• Ensure strong internal control environment for the company
• Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are performed timely and with utmost quality
• Ensure process documentation are being developed for the department
• Lead process improvement initiatives
• Business partner to the leadership team
• Other tasks as assigned

What we’re looking for:

• 10+ years of relevant experience with increasing responsibilities
• 5+ years of management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or MBA preferred
• Travel ~10-15%
• ERP system knowledge such as Syteline, IQMS, SAP or Sage
• Strong written and oral communication skills
