About the Role:
The QC/QA Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring that all manufacturing processes and products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for overseeing the quality control and quality assurance teams to maintain consistent product quality and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The supervisor will develop, implement, and monitor quality management systems, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. They will collaborate closely with production, engineering, and supply chain departments to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions promptly. Ultimately, the QC/QA Supervisor ensures that the manufacturing output not only meets customer expectations but also supports the company’s commitment to excellence and operational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or equivalent standards.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis techniques.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to the manufacturing industry, such as FDA or OSHA standards.
- Proficiency in quality management software and data analysis tools.
- Previous experience supervising a quality team in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the QC/QA team to perform inspections, testing, and audits throughout the manufacturing process.
- Develop, update, and enforce quality control procedures and documentation in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for process improvement.
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure all products meet customer specifications and regulatory compliance before release.
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management and participate in quality-related meetings and audits.
- Manage supplier quality performance and collaborate on supplier audits and improvement plans.
Schedule: Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
