The Production Helper is a cross functional role that will support all areas of production including machine operators, material handling, assembly, and paint while maintaining workflow efficiency, ensuring cleanliness and safety, and performing basic production tasks to meet company standards and production goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with daily production operations and assembly tasks
- Load and unload materials, tools, and products
- Learn and operate production equipment under supervision
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Inspect products for quality and report defects
- Follow safety procedures and company policies
- Support machine operators, painters, material handlers, and fabricators as needed
- Monitor inventory of supplies and notify supervisor of shortages
- Perform other general labor duties assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 0-1 year of relevant experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Good communication and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Due to the nature of this non-exempt position and the type of work performed, evening and weekend work may be required as business demands. The work will take place in a production environment, with exposure to seasonal climates, odor, dust, and high noise levels.
