$155,100 - $232,700 Annually

Description

The Assistant Medical Director is responsible for assisting the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Medical Director in providing clinical and administrative leadership for the medical department at our Quincy site. The role maintains a connection to clinical practice through a reduced patient-care commitment. Position expectations are 90% clinical and 10% administration (one half day a week of in-clinic administrative duties or 0.1 FTE).

Responsibilities

  • Support the CMO and Medical Director in overseeing Quincy medical operations and act as the primary point of contact for Quincy medical directors and leadership with decision making authority.
  • Assist the CMO and Medical Director in ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based clinical care delivery standards are followed by medical providers at Moses Lake and Quincy sites through education, quality improvement projects, and outcomes monitoring.
  • Assist the CMO and Medical Director in timely review of unusual events and mortality reviews related to the Quincy site.
  • Serve as member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
  • Collaborate with other leaders and staff members in various departments on workflow issues, team building, service standards, and effective communication related to the quality of care provided in the medical department.
  • Proactively provides leadership to staff to promote a respectful, safe and positive work environment.
  • Ensures that current policies and procedures are updated for accuracy and relevance.
  • Demonstrates adherence and support of the MLCHC mission, vision, goals, policies, and procedures of MLCHC.
  • Provides excellent service and support to all members of the MLCHC team.
  • Actively participates in Quality Improvement efforts.
Requirements
  • Performance of the duties and responsibilities of the job requires graduation from an accredited school of medicine or accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program and preferably two or more years of experience in a similar position.
  • Must have reliable transportation and provide documentation of auto insurance and valid driver's license as required.
  • Current Physician, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the State of Washington with full prescriptive authority.
  • Active DEA with no restrictions.
  • Board certified or board eligible. Must be expecting to take boards within one (1) year of employment.
