Job Description
Assist and guide Cary Academy’s staff and students in using the technologies within the school’s environment to the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness through instruction, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and academic technology.
Requirements:- Identify, research, and resolve end-user hardware and software issues.
- Collaborate with and provide guidance to faculty and students to integrate creative technology to enhance their teaching and learning experiences.
- Develop and teach workshops to faculty and/or students on emerging learning technologies to assist in teaching and learning.
- Provide end-user technical support and appropriate training for the school’s hardware and software
- applications.
- Provide technical support for campus events requiring network connectivity, printing, audio/video connections, software and audio-visuals.
- Document, track and maintain accurate and timely information for support tickets and asset inventory.
- Stay abreast of the latest changes and developments in the information technology industry, including emerging trends and best practices in educational technology.
- Assist in managing projects that may require communication and coordination between any of the following: faculty, staff, students, or external contacts.
- Collaborate with Director of Technology & Innovation and Dean of Faculty in creating, updating, and teaching digital citizenship to our community.
- Have limited on-call responsibilities.

- Use designated technology assets and platforms as directed by School policies and procedures to allow for secure, effective, and collaborative school operations. Work collaboratively with the Information Services team to research, implement and evaluate technology resources related to position responsibilities.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned in support of both divisional and school operations and initiatives.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Experience: 1 year of experience in information systems consulting, training, or programming, including experience dealing directly with the user community. A record of successful experience in more than one of the following areas: academic technology, technology training, information systems, programming, consulting, problem solving, networking related experience in an academic institution preferred.
Certification and/or Credentials: Network+ or A+ professional certifications or equivalent preferred.
Equivalency: Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience may be considered in place of the above requirements.
