Position Summary

FSM Group is a commercial aviation services provider committed to safety, service, and operational excellence. In addition to into-plane fueling services, FSM Group supports fuel facility operations, consortium management, and the maintenance, fueling, and refurbishment of ground support equipment (GSE).

The GSE Supervisor is responsible for performing equipment maintenance functions and leading technician teams and overseeing the safe maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ground support equipment. This role supports operational reliability, safety compliance, and team performance in a fast-paced airport environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and train employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance operations
• Ensure and promote compliance with company safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
• Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ground support equipment, including fuel equipment, transport vehicles, and related systems
• Perform equipment diagnostics and interpret wiring schematics and technical documentation
• Lead and support preventative maintenance programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ground equipment
• Conduct equipment, inventory, and work-order audits to support operational efficiency and accountability
• Perform mechanical responsibilities such as:
• Order and maintain parts inventories
• Update and maintain electronic records systems
• Coordinate and support complex maintenance projects while ensuring timelines and operational goals are achieved
• Read and interpret wiring schematics
• Maintain accurate records and operational documentation
• Adhere to all company policies and ensure team members’ adherence as well
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to pass required background checks, including federal fingerprinting, and pre-employment drug screening
• Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules as operational needs require
• Ability to document prior work history
• Shop Supervisor is required to bring their own set of basic tools (wrenches, ratchets, socket sets, screwdrivers, power tools, Allen wrenches, and voltmeter). Specialty tools will be provided by the Company.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience or training in the repair and maintenance of aviation equipment or ground support equipment (GSE)
• Experience working with fuel equipment, transporting vehicles, catering trucks, or related mechanical systems
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and equipment diagnostics
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office or similar systems
• Experience with GSE Maintenance operations and repair, including automotive and heavy truck repair
• Hydraulics, diesels, and small engine experience as well as electronic diagnosis ability are preferred skills
• Experience on an airport ramp/military base
• Experience in repair and maintenance of Aircraft Refueling equipment maintenance is preferred
• ASE Certifications or similar preferred

• Ability to safely operate equipment and machinery used in maintenance operations
• Ability to foster and maintain professionalism, respect, and relationships with all collaborating representatives including customers and airport staff
• Ability to lead and train FSM employees to meet the highest performance delivery standards, work standards, policies, and procedures based on company levels, customer service needs, and requirements

This position requires sustained physical effort and consistent exposure to outdoor and potentially

Mobility and Access

• Must be able to climb up and down stairs and ladders with 50+ steps and work at heights of 50
• feet or more, including high, precarious places
• Must be able to get in and out of vehicles of varying sizes and heights
• Must be able to drive and operate vehicles and equipment of various sizes, including automated lifts up to 26 feet

Standing and Movement

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, climb, and balance for extended periods of time
• Perform repetitive physical movements, including bending at the waist and knees, and sustaining awkward or physically demanding positions
• Capable of climbing and standing on step ladders while performing overhead work, such as connecting fueling hoses

Lifting and Carrying

• Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds overhead
• Occasionally lift up to 70 pounds to waist level
• Must be able to shovel materials such as snow, sand, dirt, gravel, or rocks as needed

Manual Dexterity

• Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, grip, and operate tools, equipment, and controls

Sensory Requirements

• Hear and respond to verbal instructions, environmental sounds, and audible alarms
• Maintain the following vision capabilities
• Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
• Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)
• Color vision (identify and distinguish between colors)
• Peripheral vision (see up/down and side-to-side while focused on a central point)
• Depth perception (assess distance and spatial relationships)
• Ability to adjust focus (sharpen vision at various distances)

Environmental and Working Conditions

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind
