Quality Supervisor in Alachua, Florida at RTI Surgical Inc

• Oversees daily Quality Control operations, ensuring timely review, inspection, and release activities while balancing customer commitments, departmental priorities, and business objectives
• Develops, monitors, and communicates area performance metrics, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive accountability, operational visibility, and continuous improvement
• Responsible for effective resource planning by identifying capacity constraints, operational risks and future resource requirements to support projected increases in production volume and organization growth.
• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Control processes, procedures, systems, and workflows to improve efficiency, record keeping practices, and scalability.
• Supervises and encourages personnel through coaching, performance management, succession planning, training, and employee development
• Leads investigations related to quality events, nonconformances, and process deviations by facilitating root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions through cross-functional collaboration.
• Partners with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Logistics, and other stakeholders to remove operational barriers, improve throughput, and optimize movement of product through the quality system. Pa
• Oversees personnel management including scheduling, staffing, PTO management, workload prioritization, and cross-training to ensure business continuity and promoting employee wellness
• Supports internal audits, regulatory inspections, customer audits, and compliance activities by ensuring records, documentation, and processes maintain inspection readiness
• Conducts regular team meetings, performance reviews, and operational planning sessions to align personnel with business objectives, department goals, and customer requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 3+ years of experience in quality in a regulated environment
• 2+ years of direct leadership or supervisory experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Microsoft Office Suite, intermediate Excel
• Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
• Process Improvement Methodologies
• Project Management
• Proficient in Quality Management System (QMS) software
• Aseptic Technique and Sterile Consciousness
• Recognizes variables that could affect test results
