About the Role:

The Technician, Install & Network Infra II plays a critical role in the deployment and maintenance of network infrastructure across various client sites within the United States. This position is responsible for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network hardware and cabling systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The technician will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver seamless network solutions that meet technical specifications and customer expectations. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying and resolving network issues, minimizing downtime, and supporting ongoing infrastructure upgrades. Ultimately, the technician contributes to the overall success of network projects by ensuring timely and high-quality installations and maintenance services.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in networking or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in network installation, maintenance, or related technical roles.
  • Proficient understanding of network hardware components, cabling standards, and basic network protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and installation manuals.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various client sites within the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent networking credentials.
  • Experience with fiber optic installation and testing.
  • Familiarity with network security principles and practices.
  • Strong customer service skills and experience working directly with clients in a technical support capacity.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and test network infrastructure components including routers, switches, cabling, and wireless access points at customer locations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve network connectivity and hardware issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand installation requirements and ensure compliance with technical standards and safety regulations.
  • Document installation processes, network configurations, and service reports accurately for future reference and compliance purposes.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and clients to facilitate smooth network operations and adoption.

The required skills enable the technician to effectively install and maintain complex network infrastructures by applying technical knowledge of hardware and cabling systems. Troubleshooting skills are essential for diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
