Job Purpose:
- The Yard Sales Associate 1 CDL Driver at Gold Beach Lumber Yard Inc is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with sales transactions, and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of lumber and building materials. This role requires a combination of sales acumen and driving expertise to support the operations of the lumber yard.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with product selection, providing knowledgeable recommendations and information about lumber and building materials.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to company policies.
- Operate a commercial vehicle to transport materials to customer locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized yard area, ensuring that products are stored safely and inventory is easily accessible.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to manage inventory levels and restock products as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within a lumber yard or related environment.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating forklifts and other yard equipment is preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a yard setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Proficiency in basic math skills for inventory management and transaction processing.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with lumber and building materials is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
