Location: Chicago, IL - Near Illinois Medical District (60624/60644)
Employment Type: Full-Time (25–30 hours per week, hourly)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week)
About the Role:
Blue Kite Wellness is looking for a Masters-Level Outpatient Therapist (IM-CANS Certified) to provide essential therapeutic services for Medicaid clients in a client-centered, trauma-informed environment.

You’ll have the opportunity to provide therapy services to individuals, couples, families, and groups while developing treatment plans and receiving supervision towards licensure. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outpatient therapy to individuals, families, couples, and groups, with a focus on Medicaid clients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with clients and clinical staff.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with clinical, ethical, and legal standards, including through the use of TherapyAppointment and EHR systems.
- Participate in weekly clinical supervision and team meetings to promote professional development.
- Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for both clients and staff.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Eligible to work as a pre-licensed therapist in Illinois (no license required).
- IM-CANS Certified (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Experience working with Medicaid clients.
- Proficiency or willingness to learn how to navigate TherapyAppointment and EHR systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusive clinical practices.
- Enthusiasm to grow professionally within a supportive clinical environment.
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience with EHR systems (such as TherapyAppointment or similar platforms).
- Experience working with populations such as youth, trauma survivors, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC communities.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills.
Schedule Overview:
- Flexible working hours within an 8:00 AM–8:00 PM window
- Scheduling is based on client needs and team coordination
- Occasional evening availability may be required depending on program demand
Pay Rate: $45.00–$55.00 per hour. Placement within the range is determined by experience, credentials, and overall qualifications. Orientation and training hours are paid at $25.00 per hour.
