POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY
The Pharmacy Manager is a working supervisor, providing professional pharmacy services to CCHS patients in addition to supervising the general operations of the Pharmacy Department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delegates to pharmacy staff members the filling of prescriptions and administrative tasks, and then supervises their completion and accuracy.
- Counsels patients and maintains computerized confidential patient records of drug therapies to prevent harmful drug interaction. Answers patients’ questions and provides information on medications and health.
- Manages cash, maintains financial records, and maintains and reports staff payroll information.
- Serves as liaison between patients and medical providers in order to catch and prevent prescription errors.
- Maintains inventory of supplies and places orders, as appropriate.
- Ensures the Pharmacy meets and maintains federal and state requirements and regulations.
- Performs other duties, as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Degree from School of Pharmacy
Experience: Minimum of three years working in a community retail pharmacy.
Licenses or Certifications: Doctor of Pharmacy, Tennessee pharmacy license, BLS
