Job Description
Windom Area Health is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join our team. This position is responsible for conducting patient evaluations and assessments, developing individualized care plans, and providing patient-centered treatment across a variety of age groups. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality care in a collaborative environment, supporting patients in achieving optimal independence and functional outcomes, and may be expected to provide flexibility to support care needs across departments or affiliated facilities as needed. Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program, licensed or license-eligible in the State of Minnesota, and certified through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Orthopedic and sensory integration experience is preferred but not required.

Graduate of an accredited program of Occupational Therapy
REQUIRED CREDENTIALS (License, certification, registration):
Must be licensed or license eligible with the State of Minnesota as an Occupational Therapist and is certified with the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certified (CPR)
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Must understand and demonstrate proficiency in all Rehabilitation equipment and be able to
learn and utilize new technology as the state of therapy evolves.
- Knowledge of and ability to determine appropriate age-related patient care protocols relating to
the physical and psychological needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patients in
order to provide the highest quality patient care.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to improve interaction between staff and patients.
- Knowledge of basic computer programs; Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint in order to
implement patient care programs, provide patient education and develop community based
presentations.
- Ability to be flexible and accommodating in order to adapt to changing schedules, patient
needs and department workload.
EMPLOYMENT VARIABLES:
Must work weekdays and some weekends and holidays. Must travel off site as needed.
