Three Crosses Regional Hospital is an independent, community-focused healthcare organization seeking an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician II (BMET II) to support our hospital and affiliated clinics. This is an exciting opportunity to help build and strengthen our in-house clinical engineering program while ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of critical medical equipment.

Position Summary

The BMET II performs inspection, installation, preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and documentation of biomedical equipment. This role will also help develop and maintain the hospital's biomedical equipment management program, including equipment inventory, CMMS records, maintenance schedules, vendor coordination, and Joint Commission-ready documentation.

Essential Responsibilities

· Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, repairs, and electrical safety testing on biomedical equipment.

· Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide variety of medical devices.

· Maintain accurate service records using the CMMS.

· Coordinate repairs and service with manufacturers and vendors.

· Build and maintain equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, and documentation.

· Support equipment throughout the hospital, including ICU, ED, OR, Cath Lab, Imaging, Laboratory, and patient care units.

· Remove unsafe equipment from service and verify repairs before returning equipment to use.

· Assist with equipment lifecycle planning and replacement recommendations.

· Partner with IT and vendors on network-connected medical devices and software updates.

· Train clinical staff on proper equipment use and provide on-call support as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

· Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics Technology, or related field will consider equivalent education, military training, and experience.

· Three (3) years of biomedical equipment maintenance experience in an acute care hospital.

· Experience with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, CMMS documentation, and vendor coordination.

· Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

· Ability to work independently and prioritize workload in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

· Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification or ability to obtain within 36 months.
