The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new business growth by identifying, developing, and closing strategic sales opportunities that align with the organization's revenue objectives. This role manages the full sales lifecycle through a consultative sales approach, builds relationships with prospective clients, develops customized outsourcing solutions, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer experiences and long-term business partnerships.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute business development strategies that drive new client acquisition, revenue growth, and market expansion
- Identify, qualify, and manage sales opportunities through the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting and discovery through contract negotiation and close
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline by generating outbound opportunities, managing inbound leads, and developing strategic prospecting initiatives
- Utilize a consultative sales approach to understand client business objectives, operational challenges, and outsourcing needs while developing tailored solutions that deliver measurable value
- Develop and present compelling business proposals, solution recommendations, presentations, and commercial agreements to prospective clients and executive stakeholders
- Lead complex contract negotiations and commercial discussions while ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations
- Maintain accurate pipeline activity, forecasting, customer information, and sales documentation within CRM platforms
- Collaborate with Revenue Operations, Solutions, Service Delivery, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders to develop competitive proposals and support successful client engagements
- Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with prospective clients while positioning the organization as a trusted outsourcing partner
- Monitor market trends, competitive intelligence, customer needs, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities and strengthen sales strategies
- Achieve or exceed assigned revenue targets, sales quotas, pipeline objectives, and other key performance indicators
- Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, pipeline management, customer engagement, and commercial effectiveness through continuous improvement initiatives
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Meet or exceed performance targets for related KPIs
- Continuously improve knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modules
- Collaborate with other departments as needed
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, consultative sales, account acquisition, or a related sales role
- Experience managing complex sales cycles, commercial negotiations, and executive-level client relationships
- Experience selling customer experience outsourcing, technology services, SaaS, or other business services preferred
- Experience utilizing CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar sales management systems
- Proven success developing outbound sales strategies, managing inbound opportunities, and building qualified sales pipelines
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative business solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence executive-level stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and sales opportunities simultaneously
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
