Day Porter in Miami, Florida at FCS Facility Services

Schedule: Monday through Friday

Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Location: NW 24th St, Miami, FL 33127

Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour

FCS Services is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Full-Time Day Porter to maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout the workday. The Day Porter plays a key role in ensuring common areas remain clean and presentable while responding promptly to cleaning requests and maintaining high standards of cleanliness during business hours.

This is a stable, full-time opportunity with room for advancement. Employees who demonstrate reliability and strong performance may have opportunities to grow into Lead, Floor Technician, or Supervisory positions.

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of lobbies, hallways, restrooms, break rooms, offices, and other common areas throughout the day.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock paper products, soap, and other restroom supplies as needed.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Respond promptly to spills, cleaning requests, and other facility needs.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot clean assigned areas.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, doors, and other high-touch areas.
• Monitor the facility throughout the shift and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist with meeting room setup, special cleaning projects, and other assigned duties.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals according to company procedures.
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Previous commercial cleaning, janitorial, or porter experience is preferred but not required.
• We will train the right candidate.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This position is primarily performed indoors at a commercial facility located on NW 24th Street in Miami, FL. Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures, cleaning chemicals, dust, noise, and high-traffic public areas. The position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift while maintaining a professional appearance and providing excellent customer service.
