Hiring Manager: Head of Supply Chain - Americas
FLSA Status: Exempt

JOB SUMMARY
The Logistics Manager oversees inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective shipment execution. This role serves as the primary liaison between Customer Service, Supply Chain, Trade Compliance, 3PL providers, and carriers, managing import activities, order fulfillment, transportation performance, and SAP data accuracy. The position drives OTIF performance through process improvement, logistics metrics, and warehouse performance management while providing logistics expertise to support procurement and service provider decisions.
Requirements:- Serve as the primary operational liaison between Customer Service, customs brokers, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, warehouses, and transportation carriers.
- Manage and evaluate 3PL warehouse and transportation providers, including performance monitoring, KPI management, and operational audits to ensure inventory accuracy and service excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across transportation, warehousing, and order-to-cash processes to enhance On-Time In-Full (OTIF) performance and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor logistics operations and SAP data integrity, ensuring accurate routing, lead times, inventory records, and order fulfillment execution.
- Analyze freight spend and transportation performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities through carrier optimization, modal shifts, and process efficiencies.
- Partner with Finance to develop logistics performance and spend reporting that supports operational visibility and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, IMDG, and other applicable regulations governing the transportation of hazardous and regulated materials.
- Optimize transportation routes and service strategies to improve delivery reliability, mitigate risk, and maintain appropriate inventory and safety stock levels.
- Oversee the leasing, utilization, and maintenance of specialized logistics equipment, including ISO tanks, railcars, tank cars, and temperature-controlled containers.
- Act as the primary operational interface with import/export brokers, supporting trade compliance activities, regulatory audits, and adherence to all import and export requirements.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Product Management, Procurement, and Customer Service teams to align logistics strategies with business objectives and customer requirements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- 10+ years of logistics, transportation, warehousing, or supply chain experience.
- Strong knowledge of 3PL management, carrier operations, and transportation networks.
- Experience with CBP import entry processes, ISF filings, and import/export compliance.
- Proficiency with SAP Order-to-Cash, Transportation Management, and Warehouse Management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in chemical, manufacturing, or regulated industries.
- Knowledge of DOT, IATA, IMDG, and hazardous materials transportation requirements.
- Experience managing 3PL performance, warehouse audits, and logistics KPIs.
- Proven success in freight optimization, cost reduction, and OTIF improvement initiatives.
- Professional certification such as CSCP, CLTD, or CPIM preferred.
- Experience with specialized transportation equipment, including ISO tanks, railcars, and temperature-controlled assets.
