+$2.50/hr for weekend shifts.

POSITION SUMMARY
Boulder Community Health seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform imaging procedures, ensure quality control and radiation safety, and provide excellent patient care.

Job Qualifications:
Education or Formal Training
•Must be ARRT or CNMT registered or registry eligible.

Special Qualifications (licensure, registration, etc.)
•NMTCB and/or ARRT certifications
•BLS required by end of conditional period.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability
•Must have intricate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and a basic understanding of human physiology.
•Ability to problem solve.
•Able to adapt exam routines and techniques when necessary to optimize quality of exams.
•Good interpersonal communication skills
•Ability to work closely with radiologists and other physicians.
•Must have moderate computer and organizational skills.
•Ability to handle stress.
•Ability to perform venipuncture.
•Knowledge of sterile preparation and procedures.
•Working knowledge of all facets of nuclear medicine imaging and processing techniques, equipment and radiation safety.
•Working knowledge of radiopharmaceutical kit prep and QC procedures.

Experience
•Registered or registry eligible according to department policy.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
•Provides quality patient care.
•Performs exams using good judgment in scanning, photographing, and documenting anatomy/pathology.
•Assists the radiologist and other physicians with interpretation of exams.
•Assists the radiologists and other physicians with invasive procedures.
•Transports patients to and from department or other areas within the hospital.
•Performs administration of radioactive material (oral and IV).
•Coordinates clinical information and previous testing to determine if additional views or organs need be imaged.
•Manages radiopharmaceuticals including proper labeling, injection techniques, QC, patient ID, and ordering.
•Administer adjunctive medications according to established protocol.
