Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, New Business in the United States.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving national net-new revenue growth across the K-12 education market. The Director will lead and scale a team of Sales Managers and New Business professionals focused on acquiring new school district customers across the U.S. You will shape and execute the strategy for new logo acquisition across multiple segments, from small districts to large enterprise opportunities. This role requires a strong balance of strategic vision and hands-on operational leadership, with the ability to coach leaders while staying close to execution. You will partner cross-functionally with marketing, product, and revenue operations to optimize pipeline performance and sales effectiveness. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will play a central role in accelerating market expansion and building a high-performance, accountable sales culture. This is a mission-driven environment where your leadership directly impacts educational outcomes at scale.
- Lead, coach, and scale a national team of Sales Managers and New Business representatives responsible for net-new district acquisition and revenue growth.
- Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for new logo acquisition across foundation, mid-market, and enterprise school districts.
- Build a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability, coaching excellence, and consistent execution.
- Oversee pipeline generation, deal progression, and forecast accuracy to ensure reliable revenue predictability.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to align strategy and execution.
- Develop scalable sales processes, operating rhythms, and performance management frameworks.
- Represent the organization in the market through customer engagement, executive relationships, and industry events.
- Proven experience leading and scaling geographically distributed sales organizations in high-growth environments.
- Strong track record of driving net-new revenue and leading both transactional and complex enterprise sales motions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop sales leaders, not just individual contributors.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive forecasting, performance management, and strategic decisions.
- Experience building repeatable sales processes and improving operational rigor in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent executive communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel nationally as required for client engagement and market presence.
- Experience in K-12 education, public sector, or government sales environments is strongly preferred.
- Competitive total compensation package including base salary and variable pay, with typical annual earnings between $285,000 and $325,000.
- Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and wellness insurance coverage.
- 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching contributions.
- Flexible PTO, paid holidays, paid parental leave, and extended year-end break.
- Remote-friendly work environment with home office support and flexibility.
- Employee equity plan and long-term incentive opportunities.
- Professional development support, including learning resources and career growth opportunities.
- Additional family and wellbeing benefits such as fertility, adoption, and caregiving support.
