Job Description

Senior Cloud Network Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Cloud Network Engineer in United States.

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Cloud Network Engineer to design, build, and optimize secure, scalable, and highly available cloud networking environments across modern enterprise infrastructures. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of cloud engineering, networking, automation, and platform engineering, enabling resilient connectivity across AWS, Azure, and GCP ecosystems. You will play a key role in modernizing hybrid and cloud-native architectures while improving operational efficiency through automation and infrastructure-as-code practices. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex distributed systems supporting mission-critical workloads, while collaborating closely with security, DevOps, and engineering teams. It is ideal for a senior technical expert who thrives in multi-cloud environments and enjoys solving challenging infrastructure problems at scale.

Accountabilities
  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud networking architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
  • Develop hybrid connectivity solutions including VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, routing strategies, and inter-cloud networking designs.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools such as Terraform and Ansible to standardize and automate cloud provisioning.
  • Develop Python-based automation scripts and APIs to streamline infrastructure operations and improve deployment efficiency.
  • Support Kubernetes networking across AKS, EKS, and GKE, including ingress configuration, service connectivity, and platform integration.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support infrastructure deployments and ensure reliable, repeatable delivery processes.
  • Implement and enforce network security best practices, including segmentation, firewall policies, access controls, and Zero Trust principles.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network and infrastructure issues while participating in incident response and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with platform engineering, security, and development teams to enhance system reliability, observability, and performance.
  • Contribute to architecture reviews, technical standards, documentation, and modernization initiatives across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within cross-functional infrastructure teams.
  • Identify, escalate, and support remediation of security risks in alignment with organizational policies and best practices.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise networking and infrastructure engineering roles.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code tools, particularly Terraform.
  • Proficiency in automation using Python and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Kubernetes environments (AKS, EKS, or GKE), including networking and cluster connectivity.
  • Strong understanding of core networking principles including TCP/IP, routing and switching, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing.
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Solid troubleshooting, analytical, and incident response skills in complex distributed environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with multi-cloud architectures and cloud-native networking concepts is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with SDN technologies such as VMware NSX, and traffic management/load balancing solutions is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architectures and cloud security frameworks is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or Terraform are a strong advantage.
  • Must be based in the United States.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary with performance-based incentive compensation.
  • Unlimited paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.
  • Company-funded 401(k) contributions.
  • Fully employer-covered health insurance.
  • Annual BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) stipend up to $500.
  • Paid parental leave and family-friendly policies.
  • Continuous learning culture with coaching, feedback, and professional development support.
  • Inclusive, high-performing, and collaborative work environment.
  • Opportunities to work on large-scale, modern cloud infrastructure projects.
  • Flexible, remote-first work model within the United States.
