This position is hands-on, active, and deeply rewarding. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) background is a plus but not required.

What You’ll Do

  • Support classroom instruction and help implement lesson plans and goals
  • Provide one-on-one and small group behavioral and instructional support
  • Assist students with daily living needs including toileting, feeding, hygiene, and mobility
  • Help create a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
  • Participate in program activities including CPR and First Aid training
  • Support transportation needs, including riding on bus routes and driving agency vehicles as scheduled
  • Assist with snack and meal times, including preparation and clean-up
  • Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and reports
  • Uphold confidentiality and follow all organizational policies and procedures
  • Contribute to extended day programming by helping plan engaging daily activities
  • Work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to foster student growth

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working with children and/or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently when needed
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to student care
  • Ability to pass background checks and meet a drug-free workplace requirement
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and assist students as required

Why Join Us?

  • Make a real, lasting impact in the lives of children and families
  • Work in a supportive, mission-driven environment
  • Be part of a team that values kindness, respect, and collaboration
  • Gain hands-on experience in special education and student care

If you’re ready to bring your heart, hands, and dedication to a role that truly matters, we encourage you to apply. Together, we help children learn, grow, and thrive.
