Summary Job Description
Performs a hybrid of warehouse and local delivery duties, combining picking, staging, loading, unloading, labeling, and organizing inventory with delivering HVAC products, equipment, and supplies to customers and company branches using a non-CDL company vehicle.
This role supports both shipping/receiving processes and delivery routes to ensure accurate and efficient product flow from the warehouse to the customer. Operates warehouse equipment and delivery vehicles safely while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
This role is multi-functional and essential to daily operations, combining order accuracy, material handling, safe driving, and teamwork to keep both warehouse productivity and delivery service at peak levels.
This is a Full-Time position. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and occasionally Saturdays, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Key ResponsibilitiesOrder Fulfillment & Shipping
- Pick and stage customer orders accurately for shipment or pickup.
- Verify that products, quantities, and packaging match customer order.
- Assist with loading delivery trucks and securing products for safe transport.
- Operate pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move HVAC units, pallets, and materials safely.
- Label, wrap, and prepare outgoing shipments following company and carrier standards.
- Collaborate with drivers and shipping staff to ensure timely departures.
- Safely deliver HVAC products, parts, and equipment to customers, branches, and job sites according to scheduled routes, using a non-CDL company vehicle (box truck or similar).
- Verify the accuracy of delivery tickets, ensuring that all items are correct, undamaged, and properly loaded.
- Collect signed delivery receipts or other required documentation upon delivery.
- Handle and secure materials safely to prevent damage during transit.
- Plan efficient delivery routes and maintain communication with dispatch or warehouse personnel for updates.
- Ensure all deliveries comply with DOT, OSHA, and HazMat safety regulations as applicable to non-CDL vehicles.
- Report any delays, route issues, or incidents immediately to management.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip) to check for mechanical or safety issues.
- Ensure all logs, inspection sheets, and delivery records are completed accurately.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, report maintenance needs, and schedule service as required.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and applicable transportation regulations.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Properly store and transport hazardous materials (R410A, R32, nitrogen, oxygen) in accordance with DOT standards, as applicable.
- Assist with unloading and inspecting incoming shipments when needed.
- Receive and inspect returned products to verify condition, reason for return, and restocking eligibility.
- Verify products received against purchase orders and report discrepancies.
- Help organize and restock warehouse inventory to designated shelf or pallet locations.
- Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Assist with identifying and labeling new products or re-labeled stock.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse at all times.
- Clear aisles, docks, and staging areas to prevent safety hazards.
- Dispose of cardboard, shrink wrap, and packaging materials properly.
- Keep forklift and equipment areas orderly and report maintenance issues.
- Support branch housekeeping standards, including yard and storage areas.
- Represent Saez Distributors professionally at all customer locations.
- Communicate courteously and effectively with customers regarding deliveries, issues, or delays.
- Handle all deliveries and customer interactions with a customer-first attitude, ensuring satisfaction and professionalism.
- Notify management of customer feedback, damaged products, or discrepancies.
- Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines.
- Inspect ladders, shopping carts, u-boat carts, and baskets regularly to ensure safety and proper operation.
- Adhere to HazMat regulations when transporting refrigerants, compressed gases, or other restricted materials.
- Report accidents, near-misses, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Handle refrigerants, tanks, and chemicals per company safety policies.
- Attend periodic safety meetings or training sessions.
- Support Receiving, Sales, Purchasing, Operations, or Shipping teams as needed.
- Communicate effectively with Warehouse Supervisors, Branch Managers, and other departments to maintain smooth workflow.
- Acts as a secondary warehouse helper when delivery routes are light, and as a driver when delivery needs arise.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics preferred.
- Prior experience driving a box truck or similar delivery vehicle preferred.
- Experience handling HVAC equipment, HazMat products or similar materials is a plus.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely.
- Ability to safely operate a non-CDL company delivery vehicle (box truck or similar).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
- Computer literacy required, including the ability to use the company's ERP system (e.g., Kerridge/SmartDistributor) and other internal software programs for order lookups, inventory records, receiving entries, and warehouse documentation.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Positive attitude and willingness to cross-train in multiple warehouse and delivery areas.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, lift, and carry materials up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods while driving.
- The work environment includes warehouse, loading docks, delivery routes, and outdoor areas with varying temperatures.
- Regular exposure to noise, dust, and warehouse machinery.
