AGCEA has an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Process Lead in our Assembly Department.
The Mechanical Process Lead is responsible for ensuring the most efficient work steps are being taken to achieve safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery and cost-effective production of our products within their assigned department.
This role is responsible for working with operators and supporting departments in continuous improvement and problem-solving efforts.
The selected candidate will focus on in safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery and cost-effective production of AGCEA’s products. They will also function as a trusted teammate who exercises initiative and who fits well with our company’s values.
In this job role you will:
- Work to ensure product quality and schedule requirements.
- Assign work to production employees within work center; monitor progress and make task-related decisions.
- Evaluate skills and performance of employees; make appropriate recommendations for improvement and train as necessary.
- Maintain effective shift change communication; monitor and convey potential production/operational impacts.
- Serves as primary problem solver for production issues within the area and escalates issues to Supervisor/Manager as needed.
- Leads 6S activities and drives continuous improvement efforts in assigned area.
- Provide support in identifying root cause and corrective action for quality issues.
- Contribute to and maintain functional procedures and other work center documentation.
- Keep Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager up to date on department activities and deviations from normal operations.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Prior experience working in a Team Lead capacity.
- Prior production experience in a manufacturing environment in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments, gauge blocks, micrometers, height gauges, sine plates, optical gauges, etc
- Ability to interpret and read blueprints.
Preferred candidates will have:
- Working knowledge of (Computer Numerical Controls) CNC Machine.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GDT).
- Prior experience the semi-conductor sector.
This is a day shift position, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday
