Job Description

Purpose:

The Sanitation Technician position is responsible for maintaining the facility following written Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s) for production to run product that meets all food safety requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

    Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) to make sure that all equipment and areas are cleaned on a regular basisMaintain the facility that is audit ready in a manner that meets all food safety requirementsClean production equipment following established SSOP’sAccurately and legibly maintain cleaning recordsEnsure that all utensils, equipment, and areas are maintained in a clean and safe mannerEmpty all trash and cardboard containers and dispose of properlyMaintain the facilities outside grounds for cleanliness
Follow all:

    Company PoliciesGood Manufacturing PracticesFood Safety Management System Policies and ProceduresSanitation ProceduresSafety ProceduresEffectively communicate all relevant information to other production shifts and employeesFire Extinguisher InspectionsPest Control InspectionsSnow and ice removal on sidewalks (seasonal)Immediately report any and all food safety and quality problems to management

    Safety GlassesLockout/Tag outUniforms, Safety Shoes for Wet Environment are providedBasic use of Hand ToolsCleaning Chemicals and Foaming EquipmentWater Hose (Working in a wet environment)Pressure Washer


Hours:

    Weekly shift rotation / 2 consecutive days off per week / 40 hour week / 4 day weekend once a month / Work 20 days a month off 10 daysMorning, afternoon, and evening shiftsWeekends are required on the rotationOvertime may be requiredFlexible schedule for holidays
